Microsoft Intune:
For students to use their BYO Windows device on campus, the laptop must be enrolled in the Department of Education's management platform, Microsoft Intune. Intune is a secure mobile management system. It allows students to use school Wi-Fi to access learning applications, websites, and their school email account on their laptop.
Enroling a Windows 11 Device:
Steps for enrolling a Windows 11 BYO device can be found below, in the instruction guide, or seen in the Enrolment Video Guide.
- Navigate to the 'Settings' app and open
- In the 'Settings' app, navigate to 'Accounts' in the lefthand column
- From the 'Accounts' menu, select 'Access work or school'
- If a sing in box doesn't automatically appear, select 'Connect' next to 'Add a work or school account'
- Sign in with your student's email, followed by your student's credentials
- Follow the prompts until you click 'Done.' Your student's email should appear under the 'Access work or school' menu page.
