To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator.

To determine which school is closest to your home address, use the interactive school catchment maps website or open a map (PDF, 248KB) here.

Step 1 - Enrolment application

Contact the school on admin@corindass.eq.edu.au

or ph 3716 2333

Step 2 - Enrolment interview

Attend an enrolment interview with a member of our administration team.

Please phone the school office to organise a suitable time.

Please remember to bring:

  • Your child/children

  • Proof of residency

  • Each child’s original birth certificate

  • Each child’s latest report card if they have attended another school

  • Each child’s current passport and visa documents if born overseas.

Step 3 - School information

Our school enrolment management plan (PDF, 306KB) sets out the conditions under which students may be enrolled into Corinda State School.

To learn more about our school policies and procedures, please download our information booklet (PDF, 531KB) and responsible behaviour plan (PDF, 2.6MB)

If you cannot download the documents linked from this page, please contact us and we will provide a copy via the school office.

Out-of-catchment enrolments

You can still apply for enrolment at a state school outside of your catchment area, but enrolment is not guaranteed and you will be placed on a waiting list.

Applications are processed and assessed in the order they are received.

A state school's ability to accept students who live outside its catchment area depends on whether the school:

  • has capacity once all in-catchment enrolments are met
  • needs to allow for students relocating into their catchment area during the year
  • can ensure an even spread of students across all year levels while maintaining class size targets
  • can ensure their out-of-catchment enrolments do not reduce their capacity to meet in-catchment enrolments.

Phone 13 QGOV or search the schools directory to contact the school for more information.

Every Day Counts

Parents are reminded of the importance of sending children to school every school day unless there is a reasonable excuse for the student to be away, such as illness.

Research shows that students who have a good attendance record are more likely to achieve high results. Going shopping, visiting family, staying up late, being tired or extending school holidays are not acceptable reasons to be away from school.

Our school day starts with roll marking at 8.45am and finishes at 3.00pm. Visit the Department of Education website for more information.
