New Program 2027 - BYO Laptops
In 2027 Corinda State School will begin a new Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program as we phase out our BYO iPad program. From January 2027, incoming Year 5 students will be invited to participate in our BYO Windows Laptop program.
**Incoming Year 6 students for the 2027 school year will continue using their existing BYO iPads till the end of their time as students at Corinda State School**
We've worked closely with our colleagues at Corinda State High School so that our new BYO Windows laptop program aligns with their BYO program. This means students can maintain and use the same device if they continue to Corinda State High School after their time here at Corinda State School.
Purchasing a Laptop
Families can purchase eligible devices from the school's partner vendors listed below, or devices can be purchased from any number of local retailers. Partner vendors offer preselected devices that meet the hardware requirements for student use on campus. Partner vendors also offer additional benefits like accidental damage plans should your student's device become physically damaged and various financing options.
If opting to source your own laptop, please see our Device Specifications page.
Corinda State School's Partner Vendors:
Hewlett Packard (HP) - Use code 'CorindaSS'
Next Technologies
Additionally, while Scorptec Computers is not a partner vendor, they have a local store (Tingalpa), offer reasonable pricing, and have frequent sales.
Accessories
Students will be expected to also have a 'ruggedized' laptop case or sleeve to accompany their device. This can also be purchased from our Partner Vendors under the 'Accessories' section.
Preparing the Device for School

Student Conduct with BYO Devices

This document incudes acceptable use of the device at school, expectations for handling the device at school, preparing the device for daily use and safe digital practices. Students are caregivers are required to acknowledge their understanding, sign and return this agreement before a BYO device is used.
BYO iPad Program - Incoming Year 6's only
For the 2027 academic year, students in Year 6 will continue with the existing BYO iPad program.
Technical Support
