As a school, our priority is to educate children through age-appropriate, hands-on learning, fostering connections with nature and nurturing social relationships, while also ensuring we meet the requirements of the Australian Curriculum to prepare our students for higher learning and the digital world.
BYO Laptop Program - Year 5, 2027
From 2027, when students enter year 5, they will be invited to participate in our BYOD Windows Laptop program. Please see our Bring Your Own Device page for more information.
BYO iPad Program - Year 6, 2027
2027 will be the final year of our BYO iPad program with incoming Year 6 students continuing to use their iPads until the end of the primary school year.
Shared Device Program
Students in Years 3 and 4 participate in a shared device program with a ratio of 1:2. The iPads are fully owned and managed by Corinda State School and are hosted only on the Education Queensland network. This provides our students with the opportunity to learn to use devices in an educational setting and meet the requirements of the Australian Curriculum, while avoiding some of the concerns arising from early device ownership.
From 2027, when students enter Year 5, they will be invited to participate in our BYOD Laptop program.
Technology in the Early Years
Our priority is to educate children through age-appropriate, hands-on learning, fostering connections with nature and nurturing social relationships. The device ratio is 1:6 in P-2 and usage is limited to occasions that support learning in a positive way.
