Welcome to our library

The library offers a welcoming environment to all students and parents and is open from 8.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday – closing at 3.00pm Tuesdays for Staff Meetings. It is well resourced, with an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction items catering for student interests from Prep to Year 6. During lunchtimes there are a number of games and activities for children to play while relaxing with their friends. The computer lab is usually available at first break for students to complete homework.

In our library we value reading

  • Being a voracious reader stimulates children’s curiosity; satisfies their thirst for knowledge and connection and expands their vocabulary.
  • Regular exposure to good literature will foster a life-long love of Reading.
  • Children are encouraged to borrow (and return) from the Library on a weekly basis.
  • Each class has regular library lessons to foster literacy and teach information skills.
