Our Library has a new goal this term – to re-engage our readers:

So, we are challenging all our students to read more this year.

The Years 5 and 6 students are being challenged to read more widely, in variety of genres.

To encourage this, Corinda State School will participate in the 2020 Premier's Reading Challenge:

From Monday 25th May to Friday 28th August

What is the challenge?

  • Prep – year 2 need to read (or experience) 20 books within the 14 week period.
  • Year 3 and 4 need to read 20 books
  • Year 5 and 6 need to read 15 books

I have already enrolled the school and all students into the online Reading Challenge.

For Prep to Year 3 students, I will keep a track of all loans that children make from our library.

Children in years 4 to 6 will complete their own reading records in Library lessons.

If children read other books at home – they need to keep track on the Home Reading Record sheet. Available from the library or download from the library webpage.
