Students will be learning about Australia's system of government by re-enacting the democratic process by way of a student election. They will create  fictitious political parties with their peers and elect a party leader and decide on party policies. The parties will campaign throughout the term on their various platforms, culminating in the enactment of the election process. As part of this project students will be visiting both Parliament House and the Brisbane City Hall as they look at the three tiers of government that exist in this country.
