INTEGRATED UNITS

Term 2/3 : Other Cultures, Other Tales

Students will investigate the world around them through folk tales from other countries. They will research facts about a country including that country's contribution to our Australian way of life and society. They will design and produce an information poster to demonstrate their understanding of their chosen country. They will investigate how folk tales are constructed and then write their own version.

Term 4

"It's Electrifying" - Students explore the world of electrical energy through a variety of 'hands on' activities sych as - creating circuits, investigating conductors and insulators, researching about Volta, role playing the energy flow of electrons through a circuit.

"We are community citizens"- Students explore structures of government especially local government. This unit is complemented by the selection/election of Student leaders for 2010.
