The library is open

Before School 8.30 am
First Break 10.55 – 11.45 am
Second Break 1.30 – 2.00 pm except for Fridays

Parents are welcome to come in with their children to select and borrow interesting resources

Library Lessons

Classes come to see me every week for lessons or borrowing. Students and parents will be advised of their borrowing day early in the year.

Parents can help their children by

Reading or discussing the books the children bring home.
Reminding then of their library day.
Ensuring they keep the library books in a safe place, away from
pets and small children.

Reading with your children - some short cuts for loving but busy parents.

While shopping:-

Make lists together
Talk about the products you are buying
Read the signs and labels

While driving:-

Play CRICKET- making words from number plates
Look for street or road signs

Celebrations:-

Read or write cards for birthdays etc
Read recipes
Use a calendar

At home:-

Leave notes on their pillow
Make to-do lists
Read the TV guide together
Discuss ads and catalogues
Write emails or letters together

'Loving arms and a good story are very special, but there are many ways you can share reading with your child.'
